The ultimate cheeseburger in paradise is a mouth watering masterpiece of juicy, flame-grilled beef topped with layers of melted cheddar and Swiss cheese, crisp fresh lettuce, vine -ripened fresh tomatoes, and sweet grilled onions. Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend for juiciness
- 1/4 tsp salt to season the burger
- 1/2 tsp black pepper to season the burger
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder to season the burger
- 1/2 tsp paprika to season the burger
- 2 slices cheddar cheese for topping
- 1 slice Swiss cheese for topping
- 2 strips crispy bacon for topping
- 1/4 cup gilled onions caramelised with butter for topping
- 2 leaves fresh butter lettuce or romaine lettuce for topping
- 2 slices fresh vine- ripened tomato for topping
- 1 bun fresh brioche bun toasted with butter cut in half for top and bottom
- 2 tbsp island sauce for topping
- 1 potion crispy fries optional but recommended
- 1 pint tropical drink like a pina colada, orange juice, or mango smoothie
Instructions
- Island Sauce :Instructions to make it-you need1/4 cup mayonnaise,1 tbsp ketch up, 1 tsp mustard,1tsp sweet pickle relish, 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder,1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1.Prepare the ingredients.Slice the tomatoes and lettuce and set them aside preferrable in the fridge.Dice or slice the onions for caramelising.,Mix all the ingredients for the island sauce in a small bowl and refrigerate
- 2.Cook the Bacon and Onions.Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the bacon until crispy. Place on a paper towel to drain excess grease..In the same pan, add butter and cook the onions over low heat until caramelised (about 10minutes) .Set aside.
- 3.Form and Season the Patty.Divide the ground beef into equal portions about (1/21lb per patty)..Shape into a round patty, slightly larger than the bun (it will shrink when cooked).Season both sides with salt , black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika
- 4.Cook the Patty.Preheat a grill or stovetop pan to medium -high heat..Cook the patty for 3-4 minutes per side for a medium -rare burger (adjust for preferred doneness).In the last minute of cooking, place cheddar and Swiss cheese on the top of the patty and cover the pan or (close the grill) to melt the cheese.
- 5.Toast the Bun.While the burger is cooking, butter the inside of the brioche bun and toast it in a pan or oven until golden brown.
- 6.Assemble the burger.Spread island sauce on both sides of the bun.Place the fresh lettuce and fresh tomato slices on the bottom bun.Add the cheesy beefy patty on top..Layer with grilled onions and crispy bacon..Top with the toasted brioche bun.
- 7.Serve and Enjoy!.Serve the burger with crispy fries and a tropical drink , cup of tea or cup of coffee for a full paradise experience.
